Kid's World Schedule 2006
Our schedule may change along the way as necessary, so be sure to come and see us at Kids World for updated times and events. In addition to the scheduled events, there will also be numerous opportunities for children to play and create at Kids World. Some of our ongoing activities will include home-made play dough, a bubble pool, birdseed table, tent building, a "creation station" for building with recycling materials, and various other arts and crafts! Can''t wait to see you there!
Saturday, August 5th
10am - Kids World opens
- We’ll open up with a Labyrinth walk through by Betty Hawkins
11am - Folk Songs for Kids with
Erik Reimnitz
Noon - Tie-Dye Workshop, Candle Making
- One of everyone’s favorite activities- we will have t-shirts, or bring your own favorite garment and jazz it up!
- We get Terry Sutton and his wonderful Floating candles back this year!
1pm - Nature Crafts
- Children can make fun crafts using things we find right outside!
2pm - Magic Poetry for Children
- Performed by Marcia Moonstar with didj by Susan Keefer
3pm - Flag creating with
Christine
4pm - Paper Making
- Children will be gathering leaves and flowers to add to their hand made paper! A very fun craft for all ages. Paper will need to dry overnight
5pm - Story Time! - Story to be announced
6pm - Kids World closes for the evening
Sunday, August 6th
10am - Kids World opens
11:30am - Madronna School Singers
12:30pm - Clay Martin’s puppet theater
- A wonderful performance that will have children of all ages enchanted!
1pm - Puppet Making Workshop
- Children will have a chance to make puppets and use the Kids World Stage for their own puppet performances
2pm - Drumming and Percussion Workshop
3pm - Drift Wood Art
4pm - Time to finish up and claim projects that we have worked on over the week-end
5pm - Kids World closes for the year
